The Northern Lights private tour takes you out of the city in search of the Northern Lights and hopefully allows you to experience this remarkable natural phenomena. The journey takes us to the Icelandic countryside in search of the Northern Lights for 4 hours. Sighting of the Northern Lights during this tour cannot be guaranteed as the Northern Lights are unpredictable. Should we deem slim chances on the day of departure however we will cancel the tour and offer you to change dates or receive a full refund

Your evening tour starts with pickup at your accommodation or other location of your choice. First a brief introduction with your driver guide before heading on in search of the northern lights.
En route in search of the northern lights your driver will tell you interesting stories and facts about Iceland’s culture, history and way of life throughout the centuries since the viking settlement in 874.
The Northern Lights aka Aurora Borealis are one of several astronomical phenomena called polar lights (aurora polaris) and are shafts or curtains of coloured light visible occasionally in the night sky. The northern lights can only be seen during fall – late winter time in Iceland as during the spring and summer Iceland has nearly 24 hours of daylight.
In case we are lucky enough to spot the northern lights then foldable chairs along with blankets and hot chocolate will be supplied to you by your driver-guide to sit outside for a moment and enjoy the wonders of the night sky.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience. This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
